Nicole graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Chemistry in 2016. She began graduate work at Rice University in the fall of 2016 in Professor Kürti’s group. Her research focused on methodology development for heteroatom transfer reactions. She organized the collaboration to bring Fun with Chemistry to Rice University in 2017. In 2021, Nicole graduated from Rice University and is currently a Scientist at Janssen R&D in La Jolla, California working in medicinal chemistry drug discovery.
Katie graduated from Rice in 2021 with her PhD in chemistry under the advisement of Prof Zachary Ball. She is now living in Boston, MA with her husband and son and works for Mersana Therapeutics synthesizing antibody drug conjugates. She still has a passion for science outreach and communication and volunteers with a number of mentoring and professional development groups.
Kaitlyn recieved her B.S. in Chemistry in 2016 from Loyola University in Chicago, and is currently a 3rd year graduate student in the Kürti Group. She enjoys sharing her passion for chemistry by performing exciting demonstrations and hopes to foster student's enthusiasm for science and related fields.
Elijah received his B.S. in Chemistry from Rice University in 2023. Currently, he is a graduate student at the California Institute of Technology pursuing research in organic synthesis. He is passionate about outreaching students from underrepresented backgrounds in the STEM disciplines.
